We have been providing close protection for over 20 years. All our management team are Ex- Military, SF, Armed Police or NHS. Through our group of companies and Consortium of Suppliers we Instruct, Deploy and keep all our operatives CPD up to date and in line with worldwide legislative requirements and latest best practice and equipment familiarisation.
Training and Deployment
Training Options:
We have a number of strategic partners who assist us with the delivery of Close Protection and Close Protection Top-ups. Veiled Guard has a strong strategic partnership with Platinum who along with Norsk Tactical provide our FREC3 element-together we provide training for Close Protection Operatives, HECPO, weapons training and much more. Our strong strategic partnership ensures the best trained operatives are available to us for both UK and international assignments.
Our Instructors and Management are skilled In this remit and our methods are in line with international best practice.
Deployment:
Many of our clients entrust us with providing mission-critical support whilst operating in the most challenging of environments. We have recently supported many overseas operations in Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Africa and indeed Ukraine. We also regularly support events such as COP 26/27 The Queens Funeral and the Kings Coronation.
Who do we Recruit:
Irrespective of the many niche areas of security, close protection operatives (CPO’s), or bodyguards, can commonly be defined by the single most important requirement for individual or asset protection in a dangerous environment. It is expected of them in their professional capacity; to provide physical protection to a principal, shielding them from any potential harm and to quickly get them to safety.
Veiled Guard always choose the best possible contractors to deploy no matter where. We therefore select some of the best personnel in the industry from; former and present operatives and instructors including members of The 22nd Special Air Service Regiment (22 SAS), UKSF such as The Royal Marine Commandos, British Military Firearms Instructors and (CBRN) Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Instructors. Civilians with expert knowledge of VIP and celebrity protection, MI5 former surveillance experts.
Information:
If the Close Protection assignment is within a hostile environment such as Iraq, Afghanistan, or Syria, then the Close protection operatives deployed in hostile regions in a PSD (Personal Security Detail) role, should have a military or armed police background with extensive relevant training and hostile military deployment experience.
Despite previous backgrounds all operatives must have undertaken and passed the Home Office – Security Industry Authorities (SIA) basic course in close protection, followed by continued CPD both Medical and job related.
